Our Day at Brooklet Elementary School Begins in a Positive Way!

Students arriving by bus between 7:15 and 7:30 a.m. and car riders arriving between 7:18 and 7:45 a.m. are greeted by smiling staff members at the front of the school. All students will report to homeroom classes upon arrival. Breakfast is free for all students, and it is available from 7:15 until 7:40. The tardy bell rings at 7:45 and is closely followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, A Moment of Silence and school-wide announcements.

Every child receives language arts and math instruction for the bulk of the day, with science, health, and social studies alternated throughout the nine week grading period. The curriculum is based on Georgia Performance Standards and Bulloch County's Promotion Criteria. Appropriate objectives and test-taking skills are taught throughout the year and are based on standardized and Criterion-referenced tests. Every student also has opportunities to participate in the STEM labs, physical education, music and art on a rotating basis. Every grade level has a total of 15 to 20 minutes for recess daily, as well as the opportunity to participate in our Accelerated Reader Program (K-5).

The dismissal process begins at 2:10 p.m. and lasts until 2:30 p.m., when our day ends as it began, with smiles and waves.
